India to Get iPhone 3G on August 18
After much digging , we've got information on the official date for the India launch of the iphone 3G.
Vodafone will launch the iPhone 3G first on the 18th of August. Pricing and other essentials are still unknown. But worry not, we will keep you posted. You'll know as soon as we do.

Oil Price Hike....Worried?? Dont BE!!
Someone might think diesel has become really expensive after the recent price hike.
But if you compare it with other common liquids and do some quick calculations, and you will feel little better!
To know why, see the results below – you'll be surprised at how outrageous some other prices are!
Diesel (regular) in Mumbai: Rs. 36.08 per litre
Petrol (regular unleaded) in Mumbai: Rs. 50.51 per litre
Coca Cola 330 ml can: Rs. 20 = Rs. 61 per litre
Dettol antiseptic 100 ml Rs. 20 = Rs. 200 per litre
Radiator coolant 500 ml Rs. 160 = Rs. 320 per litre
Pantene conditioner 400 ml Rs. 165 = Rs. 413 per litre
Medicinal mouthwash like Listerine 100 ml Rs. 45 = Rs. 450 per litre

Now you know why computer printers are so cheap? So they have you hooked for the ink!So, the next time you're at the pump, don't curse our honorable Petroleum minister – just be glad your car doesn't run on cough syrup, after shave, coffee, or God forbid, printer ink!

iPhone vulnerable to phishing, spamming flaws
Security researcher Aviv Raff has discovered a pair of basic design flaws that could turn your iPhone into easy bait for malicious phishing and spamming attacks.
According to an advisory from Raff, the iPhone’s Mail and Safari applications are susceptible to a URL Spoofing vulnerability which allow attackers to conduct phishing attacks.
By creating a specially crafted URL, and sending it via an email, an attacker can convince the user that the spoofed URL, showed in the mail application, is from a trusted domain (e.g. Bank, PayPal, Social Networks, etc.).
When clicking on the URL, the Safari browser will be opened. The spoofed URL, showed in the address bar of the Safari browser, will still be viewed by the victim as if it is of a trusted domain.
iPhone Mail and Safari on firmware 1.1.4 and 2.0 are affected by this vulnerability. Apple’s security team has confirmed the vulnerability. Raff says he is withholding details until after a patch is released. In the meantime, iPhone users should avoid clicking on links in the Mail app that refers to trusted sites.
A second vulnerability in the iPhone Mail application that could help spammers was also reported and acknowledged as a security issue by Apple. Raff describes this as “a basic security design flaw which might already be exploited in-the-wild.”
I have seen proof-of-concept code for both vulnerabilities and can confirm that the iPhone is potentially a phisher’s/spammer’s best friend.
